Helping You Find the Root Cause, Not Just Manage the Symptoms

Hi, I’m Dr. Bill Schuler, a chiropractor practicing in Cary, North Carolina. I have been trained in multiple fields of health care, which I use to help a variety of patients improve and regain their health. Through Applied Kinesiology and the Systems Health Care technique, I analyze and interpret the health needs of the body through its many interconnected systems.

My approach incorporates muscle testing, nutritional support, acupressure meridian therapy, functional neurology, biochemistry, proper body mechanics, and a multitude of other techniques. I am often the last resort for patients who have been let down by previous medical treatments that focus primarily on symptoms without addressing the underlying cause of the problem, even after numerous attempts.

My goal is to set you on a path toward feeling like yourself again; before whatever injury, diagnosis, or health ailment caused you to seek help. I see all types of patients in my office, including children, elite athletes, IT professionals, weekend warriors, housewives and husbands, teachers, and other healthcare providers.

My aim is to peel back the surface-level layers of compensation, such as pain or inflammation, and determine which system in the body may be contributing to dysfunction. I believe patients should always have alternative options available to them beyond the common conventional approach of medication and surgery. This is what I provide.

Every patient is different and must be approached individually. I do not agree with a one-treatment-fixes-all philosophy, regardless of the diagnosis.

From Professional Soccer to a Career in Natural Health

I graduated with my bachelor's degree from The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and obtained my Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Marietta, Georgia.

I am a former U-17 and U-20 national team soccer player, where I competed in youth World Cups, and became a four-year All-American at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I won a national championship at UNC and was runner-up for the Hermann Trophy, awarded to the best player in the country.

I went on to play professional soccer for the San Jose Earthquakes and Vancouver Whitecaps in Major League Soccer (MLS), Hammarby IF in Sweden, and local team NCFC in the USL.

My thirst for knowledge about the human body began in my early college years when, out of the blue, I developed severe calf pain and lost my previous level of fitness due to exhaustion. After seeing countless doctors within the UNC medical system, I was introduced to the world of Applied Kinesiology and soon realized that my symptoms did not just appear out of the blue, but were due to extreme overtraining without the proper nutrition to support it.

From that point on, I became deeply interested in natural health and anything that could keep me on the field performing at my highest level. After six years of playing, I decided to hang up my boots, forgo my economics degree, and attend chiropractic school. I could see no better future than helping people in the same way that I had been helped years before.

While in chiropractic school, I attended countless hours of classes and seminars to learn Applied Kinesiology and apply the Systems Health Care technique. After school, I moved back to Chapel Hill to work in a Systems Health Care office before moving my practice to the Cary/Apex, NC area.

This version keeps the story, philosophy, credentials, and tone of the original much more closely while still naturally incorporating terms like Cary chiropractor, Applied Kinesiology, Systems Health Care, functional neurology, natural health, and Cary/Apex NC.
